Rescue Vehicle Donated to Saint John Police Force

The Saint John Police Force, through a gracious donation from Commercial Properties Limited, has taken possession of a new Rescue Vehicle. It was constructed by the Cambli Group in Quebec and is similar to the ones utilized by the police forces in Fredericton and Moncton.

The Rescue Vehicle can be utilized in many situations including, if faced with, an active shooter, tactical support and ongoing training.

“The Rescue Vehicle is another tool to provide public safety, officer safety and preparedness for any and all situations.” Says SJPF Chief Bruce Connell. “The environment we live in is constantly changing and the Saint John Police Force must be prepared to adapt to those changes,” adds Connell.

“This support from Commercial Properties goes above and beyond and we thank them for the contribution to the force and the citizens of Saint John,” says Chief Connell. “The Rescue Vehicle is an important tool to allow officers to continue doing their jobs safely and effectively,” adds Connell.

Design highlights of the Rescue Vehicle include a Ford F-550 4×4 equipped with a 330 horsepower 6.7 turbo diesel engine. It has a capacity for 10 passengers and equipment.
