Commercial Properties is excited to welcome Nicholas Szweda to our team

We are excited to announce another talented addition to the Commercial Properties team! Nicholas Szweda has joined us as a Maintenance Team Member.

As a way to get acquainted, we asked Nick a few quick questions…

Tell us a bit about your background!

Born in Saint John and raised in Quispamsis, the greater Saint John area is my home. Having recently graduated from the University of New Brunswick with my Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, returning home has been a welcoming experience to fill this role. I am thrilled to begin a new chapter in my life with Commercial Properties. I am eager to offer a fresh perspective and work with the existing team to bring added benefit and ensure our success. I look forward to what a future with Commercial Properties will hold.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I have always had a passion for outdoor sports. Mountain biking, snowboarding, swimming, and adventuring with friends is what occupies much of my time off. When I am not out in the sun or enjoying the snow, I like to relax by playing musical instruments, video games, or fiddling with electronics.

What excites you about working at Commercial Properties?

My position with Commercial Properties offers me a unique opportunity to meet many people in so many trades and industries allowing me to expand my network. Seeing the gears of the company turn on such a low level inspires a degree of appreciation for how each part of the company work together for the betterment of the tenants.

Which Commercial Properties building is your favorite and why?

CenterBeam Place is by far my favorite building. Originally, each building was erected independently between 1878 and 1881, and were later renovated in 2008 to merge the block into a single complex. Aside from the breathtaking architecture, this building represents what can be accomplished when different ideas and perspectives are united to realize a common objective.
